Crystal Lindell is a writer with Creo Collective. She is passionate about creating accessible, engaging brand content that’s as compelling as it is informative. During Crystal’s time at Creo Collective, she has worked on thought leadership articles as well as long-form and sales enablement content—all for clients in the tech B2B sector.
Prior to joining Creo Collective, Crystal spent 17 years working in the journalism industry. Most recently, she spent 11 years working at B2B food magazines, serving as an editor of Candy Industry Magazine and Food Engineering. While in those roles, she reported on her experiences touring cocoa fields, visiting confectionery manufacturing facilities, and attending trade shows all over the world. In addition to writing, she also managed staff, led industry events on behalf of the publications, and helped increase website traffic and social media engagement.
Before that, Crystal built her writing skills while working in local journalism, covering local politics, breaking news, education, and consumer trends.
Crystal earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Western Illinois University and her Master of Arts degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield. As part of her master’s program, she covered Illinois state politics in the capitol building.
She currently lives in northern Illinois with her fiancé and their three cats. In her spare time, she volunteers at a local animal shelter, tends to her garden, and writes poetry.
